Random stuff

Our granite counter is in, and boy does it look awesome! It really ties the whole kitchen together. We're going to be looking at getting tumbled tile to replace the backsplash, maybe this week sometime. We can finally cross some things off our "home improvement ideas" list!

Logan is doing really well. Nothing solid to report yet...no teeth, but the drool and the gnawing...whew! You'd think one was coming in any minute the way he's going, but since he's been like this for a couple of months now, we're used to it. At least he's not a cranky teether (so far). I'm sure we may have different opinions on this when he actually cuts a tooth!

He's tried a few small pieces of banana and a couple of Gerber puffs (they dissolve in the mouth), but I'm not sure he's ready for more solid stuff yet. It seems to make him gag a bit. It's probably just something he needs to get used to, so we'll try introducing other things. Maybe I'll try whole wheat bread this week. Other than that, he sure loves his oatmeal and whatever is mixed in it. He gets a fruit mix in the morning (applesauce appears to be his fave) and a veggie mix in the afternoon (I hear carrots are a hit!). He can drink water pretty well out of his sippy cup too.

He's still working on crawling. The elements are there, and he does motor around, and he seems sooo close! But his favorite thing is standing. He will stand as long as you can hold him up...on the floor, your lap, the couch...whatever's handy! He's definitely getting more mobile!
