Doc appt update
Logan's 4 month old check-up was this past Friday. The kid is a chunk, weighing in at 18 lbs, 4 oz (95th percentile)! He's 26 inches long (85th percentile), so at least he's growing pretty well length-wise too! She suggested we start him on cereal twice a day, which we did over the weekend and he loved it!
I knew he tolerated the rice well, as we gave it to him in his night-time bottles for a little while back in the day, so I went right for the oatmeal this time. It looks and smells like wallpaper paste, so I stirred in just a little bit of bananas for him. He really went to town with it, opening his mouth for more, giggling, "helping" me with the spoon, and at one point he took the spoon out of my hand and tried to feed himself! He made a little mess, but if he's getting the idea already...go for it, kiddo! I'm thinking of doing the cereal for a week, then trying some veggies, eventually throwing some fruits in there too. I think he'll take to them pretty well after what he did this weekend.
Poor 'lil guy got his 2nd round of shots too. You know they're good for him, but jeeze...you wish they'd come up with something better than jabbing little kids with needles, ya know? He seemed ok Friday night and Saturday, but I think he might have had a small delayed reaction yesterday. His injection sites were a little red and looked irritated, which they didn't on Saturday. He was exhausted, but wouldn't nap unless it was on me, and that was only after a good 1/2 hour of crying first. I gave him some Tylenol...hopefully it helped make him feel a bit better.
I have a bunch of pictures to post, so I gotta get to that pretty soon here. Keep a lookout!
