Fun, but tiring!
We just got back from Ohio today. It was a lot of fun, but we're pretty beat. We got to Aunt Diane and Uncle Ray's late Friday afternoon. They fed us home-made pizza and we played cards, where A.D. spanked us at "Oh, Hell". Oh, well...I've never won that game in my life! On Saturday, we had a cookout and their kids came over. We hadn't been there in about 5 years, so their grandkids looked a lot different, especially! Everyone is so nice and loads of fun! That afternoon, Jon and Bob got to ride Twister, A.D.'s horse. I had to sit that one out, but when I saw Jon's legs (after using loads of bug spray), I was almost glad I had to! Poor guy. They're better already, though. P.S. : Aunt Diane's home-made cinnamon bread and cream-filled chocolate cupakes are killer! If I gained too much weight this week, it's totally her fault!
On Sunday, we took a ride into Fremont to attend Grandma Sprunk's 90th birthday party. She looks great and she definitely had a good time. Each of her kids (Aunt Sandy, Uncle Tom, and Dad) got up to say a few words and reminisce about growing up with Grandma. There were pictures all over the place, from every different generation. Then we took some more!
After the party, we visited Aunt Amy (who is super nice and was very happy to see the boys), then went back to Grandma's house for a bit. After dinner at The Golden Dragon (a Chinese restaurant they used to eat at when they were kids), we went to our hotel room to use the pool. You will see I got extremely brave and for this week's progression pics...it's me in a bikini! Please try and refrain from laughing too hard. Thanks.
And here it is, Monday. We're home and unpacked, but I'm not quite ready to go back to work. Oh well...I'll have some more news after our very first childbirth class tomorrow night! It should be interesting!
